Man kills wife and two children in Muzaffarnagar after dispute, dies by suicide
A tragic incident took place in Muzaffarnagar, where a man allegedly killed his wife and their two small children before taking his own life. The incident happened in the Sarwat area and has shocked the local community.
According to the police, the man has been identified as Irshad, aged 32. His wife Noreen, aged 30, and their two children—a two-year-old son named Ahil and a two-month-old daughter named Aksha—were also found dead in their home. Authorities said that all four bodies were sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Officials from the police department said that early investigation suggests the incident may have been caused by a domestic argument. Family members told the police that the couple had a disagreement related to an Eid gift. The argument was reportedly about a gift that was meant for Irshad’s sister.
Domestic dispute leads to tragedy
Police officials said that the argument between the couple may have become serious and led to the tragic incident. While the exact sequence of events is still being investigated, it is believed that the man attacked his wife and children before ending his own life.
Senior police officer Sanjay Kumar stated that initial enquiries point to a family dispute as the main reason behind the incident. He added that further details will become clear after the postmortem reports and a detailed investigation.
Such incidents highlight the serious consequences of unresolved family conflicts. Authorities are urging people to seek help and support in times of emotional stress instead of taking extreme steps.
The police have also spoken to relatives and neighbours to gather more information. They are trying to understand what exactly happened inside the house and whether there were any warning signs before the incident.

Similar incidents reported in Uttar Pradesh
This is not the only such case reported recently in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier this month, a similar incident took place in Pilibhit, where a man allegedly killed his wife and later died by suicide.
In that case, the man was identified as Vinod, aged 37, and his wife Mamta was 35 years old. Police said the couple had frequent arguments, mainly about their inability to have children. The incident happened near a forest area close to the Sonakpur flyover.
Another shocking case was reported from Maharajganj. In the Gandhinagar area, a man and his two children were found dead inside a rented house. Police believe that the man first killed his children and then ended his own life.
The man in this case was identified as Amresh Kumar, aged 45. He was originally from Saitpur village in Ghazipur district. He had been living in the rented house with his family.
These repeated incidents have raised concerns about mental health, family stress, and the need for better support systems. Experts say that financial problems, family disputes, and emotional pressure can sometimes lead people to take extreme actions.
Authorities are encouraging people to talk openly about their problems and seek help from friends, family members, or professionals. Early support and counselling can help prevent such tragedies.
In the Muzaffarnagar case, the investigation is still ongoing. Police are waiting for the postmortem reports and other evidence to confirm the exact cause of death. They are also examining whether there were any other factors involved in the incident.
The loss of four lives, including two young children, has deeply affected the local community. Neighbours and relatives have expressed shock and sadness over what happened.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of resolving conflicts peacefully and seeking help during difficult times. Authorities continue to appeal to the public to stay calm, communicate openly, and avoid taking extreme steps in moments of anger or stress.
